Privacy Policy

Short version: there are no accounts, your map progress never leaves your browser, and the only third parties involved are our host (Cloudflare) and Google, for visitor statistics and advertising.

This policy explains what information is processed when you use satisfactoryinteractivemap.com (the "site"), who processes it, and the choices you have. "We", "us" and "our" mean the independent operators of Satisfactory Interactive Map. If you have a question that this page does not answer, email [email protected].

1. Information stored on your device

The map remembers your settings so you do not have to set them again. It saves this information in your browser's local storage, on your own device:

  • Items you mark as collected (hard drives, power slugs, Somersloops, Mercer Spheres).
  • Personal notes you pin to the map, with their coordinates and text.
  • Your layer, purity and region-name filters, the base map you chose, and light or dark theme.

This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you. It stays until you clear your browser's site data, use the Reset button on the map, or delete notes yourself. If you use Export, the file is created on your device and goes only where you save or send it.

2. Information our host processes

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. Cloudflare uses this data to deliver pages, cache files close to you, and protect the site against abuse and attacks. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in theCloudflare privacy policy.

3. Visitor statistics with Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive (for example from a search engine or a link), roughly where they are (country and city, derived from the IP address), and what kind of device and browser they use. This helps us decide which guides to improve and which map features matter.

  • Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart. They expire after up to two years.
  • Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We do not send Google your map progress, notes or any other content you enter.
  • We use Analytics only for aggregate statistics and do not combine it with any other data about you.
  • You can block Google Analytics with theGoogle Analytics opt-out browser add-on, with most content blockers, or by blocking cookies for this site.

Where the law requires consent for analytics cookies, such as in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the consent message described in section 4 also covers analytics. How Google handles this data is described atpolicies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. Advertising and cookies from Google AdSense

To keep the site free, we use Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to show ads. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve ads, measure their performance and limit how often you see the same ad.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising atwww.aboutads.info or, in the EU and UK,www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services atpolicies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used, through a consent message certified by Google. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping and fraud prevention. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link in that message.

5. Cookies

The site's own code does not set cookies. It uses browser local storage only for the settings described in section 1. Cookies you see on the site come from Google Analytics (section 3), Google AdSense (section 4), or Cloudflare's security features, which may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell real visitors from automated traffic.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The map keeps working without cookies. Blocking local storage means your collected items and notes will not be remembered between visits.

6. Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if your email app includes it, and whatever you write. We use this only to reply and, for marker corrections or bug reports, to fix the problem. We keep emails for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable time afterwards in case of follow-up questions, then delete them. We never add you to a mailing list.

7. How and why we use information

  • To deliver the site and keep it secure (our legitimate interest in running a working, safe website).
  • To answer your messages (to respond to your request).
  • To measure how the site is used and improve it (your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interest).
  • To show ads that fund the site (your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interest).

We do not sell personal information for money and we do not build profiles of visitors. Under some US state laws, the use of advertising cookies by Google may count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out of that at any time using the Google Ads Settings link in section 4 or your browser's Global Privacy Control signal where supported.

8. Who receives information

  • Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts and delivers the site.
  • Google LLC, which provides visitor statistics (Google Analytics) and, with its advertising partners, serves and measures ads.
  • Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose information, which we would only do in response to a valid legal request.

These companies may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because we have no accounts and do not store your map data, the only personal information we hold directly is any email you sent us. Analytics data is pseudonymous and held by Google; we cannot link it to your name or email. To make a request, email [email protected]. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, use the tools and contacts in their privacy policies, which they control directly. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

10. Children

The site is a general-audience tool for a game rated for teens and older. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Because your progress and notes stay on your own device, protecting that data mostly comes down to the security of your device and browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the information we do handle, such as emails, to a minimum.

12. Links to other websites

Guides and credits link to other websites, such as the Satisfactory Wiki and the official game site. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how information is handled, for example by adding another third-party service, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top before the change takes effect. Please check this page from time to time.

14. Contact

Questions or requests about this policy: [email protected]. You can also use thecontact page. See the terms and conditions for the rules of using the site.
